Georgie Williams

Registered Psychologist

Psychology Board of Australia Supervisor

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Georgie is a compassionate psychologist with experience providing mental health support to children, adolescents, and adults across diverse settings, including disability services, private practice, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and psychological occupational rehabilitation.

She has worked with individuals presenting with a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), self-harm, and suicidal ideation. Georgie has a particular passion for providing ADHD therapy, supporting those experiencing perimenopause, and advocating for fair access to opportunities that enhance quality of life and psychological wellbeing.

Georgie’s practice is person-centred and tailored to each client’s needs. She draws on a variety of evidence-based approaches delivered in a supportive, relaxed, and often light-hearted environment. Through this integrative approach, Georgie helps individuals build emotional regulation, strengthen self-esteem, and improve overall wellbeing and quality of life.

Mission & Vision

Neuromind Psychology's mission is to ensure our clients have access to all opportunities to learn skills required for increased happiness, resilience, and quality of life. We are dedicated to providing mental health support, and skill-building, to help children and adolescents learn their values, acknowledge their strengths, and navigate their milestones with confidence. This approach creates a secure pathway for transitioning into adulthood, enhancing their overall functionality and quality of life.

Treating Symptoms of Perimenopause

At Neuromind Psychology, we recognise that perimenopause can be a challenging and often confusing stage of life, bringing changes not only to the body but also to mood, energy, and overall wellbeing. Many women experience heightened anxiety, low mood, difficulties with sleep, and shifts in self-esteem and sense of self during this transition. We provide compassionate, evidence-based support to help women navigate these changes with confidence. Our focus is on empowering women to understand the mind-body connection, strengthen coping skills, and maintain quality of life through this important stage of growth and renewal. And yes, we do it all with a touch of humour.

Trauma Informed Care

Many of our therapy sessions are designed to help clients heal from the effects of trauma. Using evidence-based treatments, we support our clients with processing their trauma and developing coping skills to manage symptoms, all from a trauma-informed care approach.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Our mindfulness-based therapy sessions provide essential mental health support, helping clients build a more mindful and compassionate relationship with themselves and others. We utilise mindfulness-based techniques in our ADHD therapy and anxiety treatment to assist clients in reducing stress, improving emotional regulation, and cultivating greater self-awareness and acceptance. Additionally, we offer specialised perimenopause support, ensuring a holistic approach to mental well-being with the guidance of our experienced female psychologist.

Parenting Support

Our parenting support sessions offer essential mental health support for parents, equipping them with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the challenges of raising children, particularly those with ADHD. We provide parents with the knowledge and understanding of how to develop effective communication skills, set boundaries, and foster healthy attachments and relationships with their children. Additionally, our sessions address anxiety treatment and offer perimenopause support, ensuring comprehensive care for mothers.

Thinking About Seeing a Psychologist?

Two women engaged in a serious conversation, one holding a document.

Ever thought about seeing a female psychologist but weren’t sure if it was “for you”? Let’s break the stigma. Psychology isn’t just for mental health challenges, it’s also for growth, performance, and personal success, including mental health support and perimenopause support.

Why Is It Healthy To Work With A Psychologist?

Understanding your mind is one of the most powerful things you can do. Whether you're navigating stress, ADHD, seeking anxiety treatment, or striving for more clarity in your life, a psychologist can provide the mental health support you need and can help you move forward with intention.

Do Psychologists Only Work with People Who Are Experiencing Mental Health Issues?

Not at all. While psychologists are trained to support mental health concerns, many people seek therapy to optimise their lives. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from insight, growth, and change.

What Else Can Psychologists Do to Help?

Psychologists specialise in human behavior and performance - this helps successful individuals become even more effective. Whether it’s through therapy to assist with general mental health issues, improving relationships, enhancing focus, or navigating leadership challenges, psychology isn’t just for healing; it’s for thriving.

What Do Most Sessions Cover (In General)?

Sessions often explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, habits, and goals. It’s not just talking - it’s guided, evidence-based self-discovery. You’ll leave with new insights, tools, and sometimes a challenge to take on.

Yes, You Do Need to Do the Work Between Sessions

Change doesn’t happen in one hour a week. Real growth occurs between sessions - when you apply the strategies discussed, reflect honestly, and practice new ways of thinking or behaving. Like any meaningful transformation, it takes effort.

Yes, It Can Be Challenging - Because Growth Isn’t Always Easy

Therapy invites you to be honest, open, and sometimes uncomfortable - it's in these moments that the real shift happens. Personal growth can be challenging, but with the guidance of a compassionate psychologist, and the right mental health support, YOU are worth it.

what does a psychology session look like?

What Does a Typical Psychology Session Look Like?

Most psychology sessions last around 50 minutes and provide a focused space to explore your thoughts, emotions, challenges, and goals.

It’s not just “talking” – it’s a guided conversation designed to help you better understand yourself and work toward meaningful change. Sessions may include strategies to manage emotions, improve relationships, shift unhelpful patterns, and build on your strengths, all tailored to your unique needs.

What Happens in the First Session?

Your initial session is a little different. It’s a chance for your psychologist to get to know you – your background, current concerns, and what you'd like to work on. This session is also a time for you to gauge how your psychologist works and whether it feels like a good fit for you.

Together, you’ll start shaping the focus of your work going forward, including any specific areas like perimenopause support if relevant.

Why the Right Fit Matters

Feeling safe, heard, and respected is essential in any therapeutic relationship. A strong bond with your psychologist is one of the best predictors of progress in psychology. If you don’t feel comfortable with your psychologist, it’s okay to try someone else. This is your space – and it should feel right for you.
